How to make a website for a company for whom video is its product: The Last Word, The Filming Business and Kestrel Vision – all separate companies under one umbrella – needed a way to show of the diversification of video they produce, whilst at the same time add meaning to the relationships between them.
This was accomplished by running two domains and three independent wordpress sites. The format is carried through from one to the other: A large portion of the home screen displays a randomly selected video in full width at the top of a continuously scrolling homepage. This project was a test on our ability to ensure smooth streaming of large-format video, using Amazon’s Elastic Transcoder, and technical logistics to ensure synchronization with Vimeo channels so the portfolios of each company are kept up-to-date.
