14 Jan Converting images to text for better SEO
One of the activities we are familiar with at Web Inclusion, is replacing text-bearing images with searchable text. Many of our clients have come to us with beautiful-looking websites which have been made up of pages on which the title is a .jpg file instead of text between <h1> tags. Even if the title is written in the ‘alt’ or the ‘title’ tag of the image, it still doesn’t have the prominence (in Google’s eyes) of a real page title.
It is important therefore to ensure your pages are titled properly so they can be indexed with the keywords they are most relevant for.
